For the second draft of my music video, I used my teacher's feedback and made some changes. I decided to experiment with the filters on the video, using them to tell the narrative better by having the video transition from colour to black and white.
I like the change from colour to black and white and it certainly helps to change the mood of the video. I know you are looking at the sections where it has been sped up and reversed - I agree that these elements are less effective and not in keeping with the rest of the video.
I really like how the video turns from colour to black and white to match the song and the mood, as it allows the audience to understand the lyrics more and makes it more visually compelling. I also liked how some of the shots had intertextual references for example when the lyrics said 'lillies' there was a shot of some flowers. I think there is a nice balance of location clips and clips of the singer, I really enjoyed it!

ReplyDeleteThank you miss, yes I am looking to re-film and replace these shots with ones that fit better with the rest of the video.
